psychologist or psychotherapist?

Ok,who can tell me the difference between a psychotherapist and a clinical psychologist? thanx

o.k. i'll try to explane with my broken english:clinical psychologist it's M.A. in clinical psychology studies. A psychotherapist he's a therapist graduate wich could be a graduation thet added to the M.A. studies both could help in a clinic situation but the therapist has a professional of some therapy method (such as psychoanaliza) so i hope i'm right and i hope you understood beni

hi, there i think a psychietrist is a doctor and can practice medicine, while a psychologyst can't practice medicne. a psychiatrist can give medications while a psychologist cant' signe a prescription. sorry for my spelling mistakes

Thanx for answering me,so if i`m right in understanding,most psychtherapists are clinical psychologists,but what about the ones that arn`t?Are they qualified in dealing with patients who are starting to remember past traumas and maybe also reliving them? i hope my question is clear
