חנק אצל פעוטות

אני מטפלת בפעוטות בגן והיה לי מקרה עם ילד בארות צהריים. הילד אכל שניצל תירס ותיכה נתקעה בגרונו, הילד נבהל והל להקיא, ניגשתי אליו ווידאתי שהוא אכן הוציא הכל נתתי לו לשתות והרמתי אותו ושטפתי לו פנים. האם נהגתי נכון? או שממש בזמן ההשתנקות והבהלה שלו הייתי צריכה להרימו אל המקלחת ולשטוף לו פנים? אשמח על תשובה מהירה. תודה מיכל
