Hello- (I've written a few pages back about herpes...) I have tested positive by blood test for HSV1 and HSV2. I have experienced continuous pain and burning (for many months)with no effective results from acyclovir or valtrax. Is it possible that I am suffering from Herpetic Neuralgia ? Is this condition normally associated with HSV 1 or HSV 2? If so, what are the treatments available? Thanks so much for your help!
Hello Sheli, Herpetic neuralgia is not common with either HSV1 or HSV2. My recommendation - ask a neurologist to look for other reasons for your pain. All the best Efy
