left side headache

Hi I have been getting a pain on the left hand side of my head. It is only in one spot. about the hight of the ear 3cm above neck, centre left side. When I tuch itthe pain eases, but returns when presure is releaved. I tried pain killers with no sccess.(I have not hurt my head in any way) Thanks Any suggestions? Thanks

Dear Mary, Such a localized pain that can be treated locally might come from a nerve in your neck. Please consult with a neurologist OR pain specialist. In some cases a local pain treatment might be helpful. (occipital neuralgia) Best reagrds Andy Kanner, MD
