non-imerged tooth

Dear Dr. a 13-years old girl is suffering from a non-emerged tooth in the upper jaw. one of the orthodonts suggested to slowly cause descending of the tooth by installing some metal construction combined to the braces . where can i get some elaboration on the method? is there a lot of experience with such a method in Israel?.
