בדיקת הומוציסטאין

לצורך בירור בעניין קרישיות יתר, נשלחתי בין היתר לבדיקת הומוציסטאין בדם. בקופת החולים (לאומית) הבדיקה מבוצעת ללא הנחיה לצום ואילו בבית החולים (שיבא) טוענים כי הבדיקה חייבת להתבצע בצום של כ-10 שעות. האם מדובר בטכניקות בדיקה שונות וע"כ הדרישות לצום שונות או שמדובר בטעות של קופת החולים ויש לחזור על הבדיקה בצום לקבלת תוצאה מהימנה?

Occasionally, a practitioner may order a fasting homocysteine level, which requires fasting for 10 hours before the blood draw.
