Too many Polymorphonuclear cells

When in Stool culture the test for Salmonella and Shigella was proved negative but too many cells of Polymorphonuclear were found - what does it mean

sorry, but this is not hematology. you should ask a gastroenterologist. on a general basis - if it is an acute and temporary event it might be a sign of an infection (maybe viral) if the case is one with recurrent diarrhea it might be an inflamatory bowel didease. please consult the physician who ordered the test.
