Hello Golan, There is a need to continue taking the lariam for 4 more weeks after leaving the tropics because this drug doesn't affect the parasites that might have invaded your liver after a mosquito bite in Brazil, AND another month is required to make sure all the parasites- that might have later gone into your blood- are dead All the best Efy
