lower back

i have been suffering for 2 weeks from an uncomfortable feeling in my lower back. a month ago i noticed that the muscle on the right side of the spine is swollen. in adition, i have projection to my right leg - the leg feels heavy and there is a feeling of streching in different places. i went to see a reumatologist and got Vioxx 12.5 mg, i started to take it while i was taking erythromicin for a different gynecological problem i had, and i stopped after 8 days because of bad stomach aches. the reumatologist thinks it is Lumbago, because i have also minor pain in the pelvis joint and i am doing physiotherapy 2 times a week. i am using a pad that contains something from the Aspirin family and putting it on the lower back and on the spine. since i use ir (from Thursday) i do not feel the pain so much but yesterday i did not put it for 0.5 day and the leg was aching again and the pelvis joint and the stomach and different places (which i am not sure is even connected, but is not felt when i use the pad). 1. does it sound like a nervous illness or i should go to an orthoped? 2. should i treat it more urgently and go to Israel for thorough checkups? should i check anything else?
