?Is this a TIA
דיון מתוך פורום פיזיותרפיה - שיקום לאחר אירוע מוחי
My mother is 93 years old. She is generally in good health . She takes blood pressure medication AND her blood pressure is under control. She does not take aspirin. Last night, she was sitting at the dinner table when she said that she felt that there was something strange about her sight. She then seemed to fall asleep. Her head fell backwards AND her mouth was open. She began snoring. Later I discovered that she had wet herself. We tried to wake her AND to get her to stand up so that we could take her to lie down but we didn't succeed. Three of us lifted her up AND lay her down on a mattress. She woke up aout twenty minutes later. She felt well but didn't remember anything except that she had heard a buzzing sound in her head when she was sitting at the table This is not the first time that this has happened. After the last incident I took her to her doctor who couldn't really explain what had happened to her. In the past we always thought that she had fallen into a deep sleep that lasts for about twenty minutes AND after it she is fine. Do you think that this could be a TIA? What tests should she do AND is there any solution to this problem. I look forward to getting your reply. Many thanks.
as we discussed over the phone there is a D.D. which uncludes epilepsy, TIA OR orthostatic fainting. I dont see a way out of immediate evaluation at the ER by a neurologist to try to sort things out AND decide what medication is required. בהצלחה
