diarrhea

I am traveling in Peru (South America) for a month already, AND for the last 10 days I am suffering from diarrhea once OR twice a day, usually after i eat. I dont have any pain AND I am not Vomiting I went to a local doctor AND he gave me a prescription to a drug called: Donafan F. when i asked at the farmacy, they told me it is like Imodium. before i left Israel i was told it is better not to take Imodium becuase if i have diarrhea it means the body is trying to get rid of someting... (I have Lopicare that I brought from Israel) what should i do? p.s. if it is possible, please answer me in english cause i cant always read hebrew here

I would not take any drugs for diarrhea twice a day. Try to eat only dry food, lots of rice AND keep of milk products. Dr Gal
