chicken pox

Chicken pox First of al let me apologize for writing in English, but we leave in the States and that is my computer system! I definitely can read Hebrew so, there is no need to replay in English. I have 2 questions: 1. I never got chicken pox in my life and now that we are trying to conceive I’m worried about the chances of getting it. I know that there is a vaccination. Can I take it now? What happens if I get chicken pox when I’m pregnant? 2. If we didn’t get pregnant in 3 – 4 month period, do we need to see a doctor a bout it?

הי ליהי, אישה שלא חלתה באבעבועות רוח מעולם ונחשפת לכך במהלך ההריון חייבת לקבל חיסון סביל- נוגדנים VZIG . חיסון זה ניתן בבי"ח, דרך עירוי ורידי. אם את עדיין לא בהריון עלייך לידע את רופאך על- כך ולהמנע מלבוא במגע עם חולים במחלה זו. בהצלחה!

במידה ולא חלית אף פעם באבעבועות רוח את נמצאת בקבוצת סיכון לחלות לראשונה במהלך ההריון. ראשית, יש בנמצא כיום חיסון פעיל לאבעבעות רוח אשר ניתן לקבלו (לא בהריון ! ). במידה והרית ונחשפת לחולה במחלה התשובה צריכה להנתן בהתיחס לגיל ההריון ולזמן שחלף מהחשיפה לחולה. עיקר הטרטוגניות של מחלה הינה עד שבוע 20 להריון, בעיקר בין שבועות 13-20 . במידה ואינך מחוסנת עלייך להמנע ככל שניתן מחשיפה לחולים. במידה ונחשפת תוך כדי הריון, ניתן לתת VZIG תוך 96 שעות מהחשיפה, מעבר לזמן זה היעילות לא הוכחה.

Thank you for your answer! But I didn’t understand if being exposed to chicken- pox after the 20’Th week of the pregnancy would mean that there is a need to have an abortion? Second of all if I’ll take the vaccination now, would that mean that we would have to stop trying to conceive for a while? And for how long?
