Vestibulitis means pain in the vestibule, which is the u shaped area at the entrance to the vagina. Classic presentation is either normal looking completely, or sometimes a bit red. WHen the area is touched with a cotton swab, or is touched while inserting a tampon or during penetration with intercourse, it hurts, and /or burns.It generally affects women in their twenties and thirties. Primary vestibulitis refers to pain since onset of sexual activity. Secondary vestibulitis refers to pain that begins after a period of normal pain free intercourse, sometimes after childbirth.While physicians are often tempted to treat with local antifungals and antibiotics,or topical steroids, these treatments have not been proven effective. Surgery is an option with success reported between 60 and 90 percent depending on the study.Conservative management includes low oxalate diet with calcium citrate supplements, vitamin E applications,ovestin (local estrogen) and biofeedback. the only problem that i have with your answer is that you dont mention that you are biofeedback thepiest and im not shure that this therpy is so sucssesfull it worth checking other therapies
