ד"ר ציצוביץ ערב טוב בהמלצתך, קראתי את החומר על cfs. נדהמתי לגלות- שלדברי ד"ר שמואל שטיינלאוף (מומחה למחלות זיהומיות ,פנימאי ומומחה בתחום עייפות כרונית בביה"ח איכילוב),כי אחד מ"מחוללי המחלה" הינו- פרווירוס המדובר. ובנוסף-"המחלה מלווה בכאבי גרון ודלקתיים". הייתכן, שבנוסף לסימפטומים הידועים- התשובה הייתה כל-כך ברורה ועדיין היו ספקות רבות לגבי סוג המחלה?! ושוב בהמלצתך, מגיע לחר"פ כל שבועיים למילואים, ד"ר פריד, רופא פנימי המגיע מהמחלקה לעייפות ב"איכילוב"-קבעתי תור, לשמוע את דעתו בעניין. רציתי להודות לך מאוד על התמיכה הרבה, אשמח לשתף אותך בהחלטותיו והמשך הטיפול שוב תודה רותם

The Foundation made a'top- up' grant to Dr Jonathan Kerr and Dr Martin Curran of the Belfast City Hospital where in collaboration with Professor Peter Behan and Dr Wilhelmina Behan of Glasgow Clniversity they are investigating the role of Parvovirus B19 in ME. Although they have found evidence for B19 infection in ME sufferers, they have yet to find proof of a causative role for the virus in this disease.
