Herpes

I was diagnozed with herpes simplex virus infection on the skin of the balls, AND received acyclovir 800, 5 times a day for 7 days AND also the acyclovir cream. I've been told that it'll pass in 1 week but it's still look more OR less the same, I would like to know if I need to take more medecation OR it'll just take more time AND pass by itself. I also would like to know how long before it appears it's posible that I got it, can it be months before OR it's a matter of days ? Is it still contagious after I took the medecations ? Thanks in advance

The first time around-the infection can be nastier than the following ones. you might need to take another course of medication .please consult your dr for that matter. . you will be contageous whenever you get the lesions no one knows at what frequency that will happen you might have contracted it weeks OR years before that first experience
