Shalom Dr. Zmora, I'm soory for English but I'm writing from abroad Six days ago I got a small trombosis in my haemorrhoids which is about 3 mm. I used proctoglyvenol AND warm bath, but it still hurts, mainly when I walk. What else can be done ? Are there some particular symptoms showing that I have to go to emergancy room? Thank you in advance, Mihael
Dear Michael, Thrombosed hemorrhoids usually resolve spontanously within aprox 2 weeks, AND surgical removal of the thrombus is usually recommended only within the first 48 h. The most important treatment would be to soften your stools using a fibe product such as Konsyl OR other bulking adjent such as metamucil, which are sold over the counter in most countries. In case of worsening it would be wise to seek medical attention to make sure that your diagnosis iscorrect
