אני חושב שאתה מעוות את הגישה כאן בפורום אף אחד אינו נגד מחקרים קליניים בצורה שיטתית על יעילות שיטות טיפול משלימות הטענה העיקרית היא שחלק גדול ממחקרים אלו נעשים בצורה מרושלת כך שאין להם מראש סיכוי להביא לתוצאות בעלות משמעות: -בחירת תוסף שאינו זה שבו משתמשים המטפלים האלטרנטיביים (בעיה קשה מאוד בהתחשב שרבים מהתוספים ממקור צימחי מכילים תמהיל של חומרים) -אי הקפדה שהחולים אכן לוקחים את התוסף (מסתפקים בשאלונים בלבד) שלא כמו במיקרה של מחקר בתרופות -פרק זמן קצר ולא סביר למדידת התוצאות -בחירה לא הולמת של קבוצת המחקר - כלומר בחירה של אנשים שהמטפל האלטרנטיבי לא היה מציע להם את אותו טיפול -טיפול אחיד באופן לא סביר לכל החולים בקבוצה. זה בעייתי במיוחד בטיפולי גוף-נפש בהם כל מטופל אמור לקבל "מה שהוא צריך". למשל אפילו בעיסוי פשוט, באופן רגיל כל אדם אמור לקבל עיסוי יחודי, לפי מבנה גופו והכאבים מהם הוא סובל. לתת עיסוי זהה לכל המטופלים חורג מהפרקטיקה המקובלת בתחום.

מעניין מה היתה תגובתך לו התוצאות היו חיוביות. מחקרים אלו אינם טוענים כי לרפואה המשלימה אין כל השפעה. יש בהחלט השפעה חיובית בהפחתת הסימפטומים של המחלה, בהפחתת תופעות הלוואי של הטיפולים המקובלים ובשיפור המצב הנפשי של החולים. על הישרדות החולים אין בגדול השפעה. כמובן שישנן גם תגובות אנקדוטליות עם רמיסיה חלקית או מושלמת אבל זה נדיר. חשוב שחולים ידעו את זה. לגבי פרוטוקולים טיפוליים פרטניים התפורים לפי כל חולה ולפי כל מטפל- קשה להסיק מזה מסקנות ולכן רק מחקרים קליניים מבוקרים, שאולי דורשים שיפור בתכנון, יספקו את התשובה.
