שיניים תותבות

לאמא שלי, בת 85, יש כבר הרבה שנים שיניים תותבות . בתקופה האחרונה, תותבות אלו התחילו לגרום לה פצעים בחניכיים באיזור ספציפי. כל נסיונות רופא השיניים לשייף ולהתאים את התותבת לא הצליחו, ולכן המליץ לבנות תותבת חדשה (למעלה ולמטה). גם התותבת החדשה גורמת לה לפצעים בחניכיים, אפילו ביותר איזורים. האם יתכן שהחניכיים של אמי התקלקלו/ התרככו ? האם יש טיפול תרופתי/ מישחה מומלצת ? מה ניתן לעשות כדי לשפר את איכות חייה ? עלי להוסיף שאימי מתלוננת שבזמן אחרון על אובדן חוש הטעם בפה. האם יתכן שיש קשר בין שתי התופעות ? אודה לך אם תמליץ על מומחה (עד איזור המרכז, היות ואמא מתגוררת באיזור הדרום) שיכול לאבחן את הבעיה ולסייע .
