Alzheimer's

Dear Doctor and Forum, I am in search of a doctor in Haifa who can treat/help an Alzheimer's Disease patient with the symptoms of the disease.( treating the paranoia, the depression and agitation) I am aware that there is no cure for this disease, but,the Kupat Holim doctors are very unaware of the possibilities of improving the life of the AD patient and his caregiver. Usually the caregiver is also an elderly person who cannot fight for a better treatment. Any idea is welcome. You can answer me in Hebrew, I just cannot type in Hebrew. Thanks. Li.

I understand your answer. Now I have 2 specific questions: a. Risperdal can be given together with an antidepressant? b. The new drug Ebixa (Memantine) can be given when the AD patient is alreadyreceiving Risperdal? I know, it's not ethical to talk about a drug which is not yet registered in Israel, but I read an article in Alzheimer's Association of Israel about Ebixa (Memantine) . www.alz-il.net/tipul/ebixa.htm I have to mention that you are a Wonderful Doctor!
