MEMANTINE

I was wondering if this new "hope" for managing Alzheimer's disease is known in Israel. The medication is called : Axura or Ebixa (in Europe) and Memantine in US.( not yet a FDA approved drug) I will appreciate if you can answer this question, Liat look at this : http://www.alz.org/AboutUs/AboutSite/memantinetrial.htm

ליאת שלום, Thanks a lot. As you can learn from the article Memantine is still under research,& is not approved for treatmet. Third phase research is a very advanched stage but the drug is still not prroved it's influence in man. So we while have to wait for the results of this third phase research. By Dr. Giora Hidas

I write in English because my computer has only a virtual keyboard for Hebrew( I live currently in US) But my relative who needs the medication lives in Haifa.
