נשירת שיניים

Dear Dr. Yardeni, Good morning, As you can see I found your address in the "Forum". Do you mean we can send you questions about our children's health problem and get an answer via this forum? If so, I would like to ask you about problems with teeth. I've got a 7.5 year old son. Non of his teeth shows any signs that its going anywhere, while all the kids his age already lost at least 4 teeth. His father had the same problem and had 11 of his teeth removed by a doctor at the age of 11. How long should we wait before performing that horrible act on him? Do we need to perform this act or will the teeth fall by it selves eventually? (So far our doctor told us to wait and we are about to do especial photograph of the mouth to see he got all the replacement teeth.) I will appreciate your kind answer a lot, B.R Efrat Yakir

אפרת יקרה, אכן כדאי לבצע צילום פנורמי של הפה ולראות מה קורה ומה מסתתר מתחת לשיני החלב. באם יש רושם שמתחילה הנצה חדשה, שהשיניים הקיימות פוגעות בה, כדאי לשקול הוצאה. היום יש רופאי שיניים ילדים שמשתמשים בגז צחוק, וכדאי לפנות אליהם. בברכה,
