ultrasound and drinking

I have started my 10th week. I have tomorrow an ultrasound. I was asked to drink a liter of water before. I don’t know that pregnant women have to drink before U.S. Have they?

the urine bladder is used to get the sound wav's to the uterus so if you are doing abdominal ultrasound you sould have urine in your bladder
