Dear Dr. After suffering severe pains in my back AND stomach, I went to the emergency room (in the U.S.) AND they told me that I have a cyst (3 cm) near my ovaries. They told me that there is no need to remove it until it grows bigger (6 cm) AND that it won’t affect my ability to get pregnant. I want to hear another opinion because it sounds very strange to me that I have to wait until it gets worse. 1. Should I get it removed? 2. Will this affect my ability to get pregnant? a 3 cm cyst is not an indication to operation. only observation. it is unlikely to affect your fertility.
