post hernia pregnancy

Dear Doctor. I have two chidren who were both delivered by c-section, the first an emergency AND the second planned. After my second son was born I had surgery to fix severe diastasis rectis AND an umbilical hernia. The repair was made with the use of a mesh AND I have now a vertical scar down my stomach. Two years have now passed since this repair AND I would very much like to fall pregnant. Both the surgeon AND my gynecologist suggest that this would be ok, The surgeon says there is a 40% chance of the hernia reoccuring. Are you familiar with post hernia pregnancies? I am worried that the baby growing would be painful but the doctors say not. Can you advise?

Sorry, I cannot advise without examination. If the MESH is tight than the growing abdomen can damage the repair.
