what happens when a person is infected with both the HPV virus and Herpes at the same time? Can the immune system fight both viruses effectively? Or would one or both viruses have especially difficult attacks? Also, I understand that it is possible to develop immunity against HPV and the virus can lay dormant for a while. Could that still happen even if you are infected with the Herpes virus as well? A response in Hebrew or English would be greatly appreciated! Shel
An excellent question. I'm not sure that there is any research about it. My opinion is that in healthy person the immune system is effective to deal with both of them
Hi Shel, I'm infected with both viruses. So far I'm doing fine. I recomend you to search the web for information about the relation between the 2 viruses, if any.
Thank you for your response. I have a few questions for you: 1. Have you heard of the natural supplement for herpes called Monolaurin? It's an anti-viral supplement that possibly could make the virus permanently dormant... any thoughts? 2. can a women infected with both hpv and herpes get pregnant safely? what are the consequences? what are the risks for the unborn baby during preganacy and during delivery? does it matter how long before pregnancy the woman was infected with the virusus? Is there any chance for normal pregnancy/delivery/life?? 3. I will get test results pretty soon but I'm almost certain I am infected with both and I am so devastated!!! I feel like my life is over. I feel like no one would want to spend their lives with someone infected. Why should they? I am having a hard time accepting it. I dont really have a boyfriend now... there is someone I am very interested in who lives in Israel (I'm in US) but I feel like they deserve much better than this. He doesn't know yet and I'm afraid to tell (we never had intimate relations). Have you been in a similar situation?
