HERPES

I neeed your immediate help. . I am about to get married to a guy through a shiduch in less than 3 weeks. Yesterday, he told me that 12 years ago he was infected by HERPES- VHS1 . The status of the herpes is very active since than. It comes AND goes every 2-3 weeks, sometimes a month OR so. I know that it is contigiouse, AND that I will have it for sure if I marry him. My question is how can it impact me ? what are the influenses for a woman? can it go further inside to the RECHEM? can it bother me with bringing children to the world? Please give an advise. The guy is an exalent guy, I don't want to break it if it is no big deal. I know he tried to take care of it in the past but it didn't help.

Thank you for your response. I understand what you are saying but most chances are that I will be infected AND as I know, at the begining it appears very often. What than? What do you mean be careful like many people? We cannot use condoms, we are religious. What are our options? Also, if you can please describe to me what are the symptoms for a woman? How long does it take for it to pass every time at a woman?
