pregnancy –test

Hello! I am staying in the states right now. My monthly cycle is not always very accurate. However, I am at least 1 week late. The dr. here send me to HCG- urine test. How long does it take to recieve results and is is the urine test is sensitive enough at an early stage? thanks.
