herpes

Hi! A family member of mine contracted herpes. I'm very worried he would infect me. Could you please tell me if I can get infected from someone I don't have sexual relations with? If so, can I get infected when he doesn't have herpes signs around his mouth? Is herpes ever cured OR just the symptoms? Thanks.

no you cannot get infected. there is no cure - but tratment whenever attacked
