hi my mom is 73 years old and for many years now she has been taking all kinds of pills. i have a feeling these do not do her well but she insists she must have them all. in particular she takes: convertin 10mg gastro 20 cartia etopan 400mg vaben 10 mg osmo adalat 30 alpha d methotrexate 2.5mg calcium beer yeasts vitamin e c-tamin avipur tribemin there is one mor pill she takes once a week for osteoporisis does it look ok? can the mixture be causing her loosing memory, not being very clear etc? toda ally

ally, You didn't mention why your mother takes all these medications. From what I see, I can understand that she suffers, at least, from hypertension and from arthritis. She also takes food additives which may or may not help (but usually do no harm). If she takes methotrexate, its important to take on the days she dosen't take this medication (which is usually taken once a week) addition fo Folic acid, which I don't see in her medication. It can also help abit with the memory issue. In general, I think you should go with your mother and all her medications to her doctor, in order to make sure he /she are aware of all the medications she is taking, and that she takes them right, and also to see whether some medications can be taken off (if for example her blood pressure isn't that high its possible to take off either the Osmo adalat or the convertin) Hope this helps

my mother had appr. the same kind of medi and she started to get demention .. when we took her to the greathet he threw away 95%of the med. I ofer you to visit with her by a greather and see what she have to take
