Sour Throat and constant sour -throat"

Dear Dr, I apologize for writing in English,but i'm would like to ask about my brother. He is 47 and he sufferec a sever CVA in September. 2 months later , he started an involuntary movement of like coughing....and bizarely , this stopped everytime he lies down or sleeps . He looks and sounds like someone eho's "clearing his throat" and this is very limiting to his life and to people aroun him. have you heard of such symptoms after a CVA? what can be it's cause? he's currently taking Comadin and tranquilizers... It would be very helpful to know the name of this symptoms to keep on looking for a way to impove his life. thank you very much 02223

I am afraid I do not know this type of behavior as a particular complication after stroke unless it arises from a problem swalowing his own troth secretions causing him to cough
